New Tennis Agreement to bring energy and fresh approach

Solana Beach, CA - September 15, 2008   Willy and Phyllis Morfitt, owners of Winners Tennis Club in Solana Beach, are pleased to announce the start of a new joint business agreement with Matt Copland, owner of Meridian Tennis Group. This relationship will benefit both the members of Winners Tennis Club, as well as new customers for Meridian Tennis Group, by providing USPTA-certified tennis professionals to perform the tennis instruction, training and coaching at Winners Tennis Club.

Willy talks about the impact of the agreement for the members of Winners Tennis Club. "These boys have great energy and will bring current methods and training techniques to our club. They have already been working with our adults in clinics and individual lessons with great success. They will be targeting the under 8 and juniors to bring more youth tennis to the club. We're looking forward to seeing the passion for tennis grow for everyone, from the very young ones to our most senior ones alike. This is an exciting time for us."

The tennis professionals who have been assembled by Matt to represent Meridian Tennis Group all have outstanding tennis careers including singles and doubles championships, sportsmanship awards, All-American distinctions, scholarship athletes, and coach's awards.

Matt talks about the unique qualities that he believes will differentiate them from other tennis professionals. "The truth is that there are many talented tennis professionals in the marketplace. We want to distinguish ourselves by providing tennis for all levels of player, from the very beginner to the most advanced, in a way that takes into consideration the internal and external forces that may have an affect on them. All of us were scholar athletes so we understand the priorities and pressures of academics and sports. We believe that through our personal experiences, we can provide support and valuable insights into how to handle various situations and help to develop game plans to better prepare players for the future, whether on the tennis court or in other life skill areas. We all also understand the importance of citizenship and community. We want to help to model these behaviors for our players."

On July 4, 2008 Winners Tennis Club members, Mark Kleckner and Natalie Young, were told that their sweet and vibrant 4 year-old was diagnosed with stage IV embryonic-type rhabdomyosarcoma. With this news, their world was turned upside-down.
You are invited to two events in support of Max’s fight against the cancer. 100% of the proceeds from these events will go directly to Max Kleckner.
